In the wake of the Chris Benoit murder/suicide, the WWE has thus far suspended 10 wrestlers for illegal steroid use, Gary Davis says,” "We are very actively working to eradicate the use of steroids and performance enhancing drugs in the WWE, "Today's action is part of that effort."

 

The WWE instituted a policy last year called the “Wellness Policy”. This policy requires test for steroids and other drugs, the repercussion of doing such drugs will have wrestlers facing a 30 day suspension with without pay for the first violation. Second violation would be a 60 day suspension then third would be termination. It also indicates that wrestlers are to be tested at least 4 times per year.

 

Names of those 10 wrestlers that were affected were not released; however Sports Illustrated (in the following article) has revealed the names of more than a dozen wrestlers linked to steroids since the program was started:

 

• Chris Benoit, who died June 24, 2007, received nandrolone and anastrozole in February 2006. (Anastrozole is used by athletes to counter side effects of steroid use, such as water retention and breast enlargement.)

• Two weeks prior to Eddie Guerrero’s death on Nov. 13, 2005, he was sent nandrolone, testosterone, and anastrozole. Guerrero died in a Minneapolis hotel room due to what a coroner later ruled as heart disease, complicated by an enlarged heart resulting from a history of anabolic steroid use.

• Chavo Guerrero, who found his uncle Eddie dead in the Minneapolis hotel room, received, among other drugs, somatropin (HGH), nandrolone and anastrozole between April 2005 and May 2006.

• Between November 2003 and February 2007, Shane Helms, a/k/a The Hurricane, received, among other drugs, testosterone, genotropin (HGH) and nandrolone. (As previously reported by SI, he allegedly received HGH from an Arizona doctor in 2005.)

• Starting in September 2004 through February 2007, Randy Orton received somatropin, nandrolone, stanozolol.

• John Hennigan, a/k/a Johnny Nitro, a.k.a. Johnny Morrison, is the current WWE Extreme Championship Wrestling’s heavyweight champion. Between June 2006 and February 2007 he was prescribed somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone produced naturally during pregnancy. (HCG is taken by anabolic steroid users to stimulate the production of testosterone, which is suppressed as a result of steroid use.)

• Ken Anderson, a/k/a Mr. Kennedy, lost to Eddie Guerrero in Guerrero’s final match on Nov. 11, 2005. Kennedy received shipments of anastrozole, somatropin and testosterone between October 2006 and February 2007.

• Shoichi Funaki received somatropin in March 2006.

• Brian Adams, a/k/a Crush, who retired from the pro circuit in 2001, was found dead of unknown causes on Aug. 13. He received nandrolone, testosterone and Somatropin or HGH in December 2006.

• Charles Haas was prescribed anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin between August 2006 and January 2007.

• Edward Fatu received somatropin between July and December 2006.

• Between November 2004 and November 2006, Darren Matthews received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin, and anastrozole.

• Adam Copeland, a/k/a Edge, received somatropin, genotropin (both HGH), and stanozolol between September 2004 and February 2007.

• Sylvain Grenier received somatropin, nandrolone, genotropin and stanozolol, starting in February 2005 through July 2006.

This is why we understand exactly what Britney Spears is going through with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Kevin Federline has filed for primary custody of the couple’s future little train wrecks, Sean Preston and Jayden James, because it’s true what all the parenting books say: always teach your children to be freeloading slackers who spread their seed like farmers so they don’t end up as drinking, umbrella wielding, mama hatin’ crotch flashers.

We all know that trying to decide who will be a more fit parent between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline is like trying to decide if it it’s better to expose someone to amoebic dysentery, or ride a moped in the fast lane in an ice storm without a helmet. Either way, you’re gonna eventually need to change your pants. Regardless, Kevin Federline’s growing concern over his ex-wife’s erratic behaviour has prompted him to rethink the couple’s original agreement to evenly split custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James, thus the children could later on in adolescence and adulthood equally blame both of their parents for screwing them up. Sounds fair, no?

Another portion of the original custody agreement was $15,000 a month child support to Kevin Federline. We suspect this would enable him to resuscitate his tragically short-lived rap career while still providing for the youngsters. Although, anyone who’s heard his, ahem, ‘music’ knows that his talent will pay for itself and Kevin will eventually be able to support his boys on cancelled concerts due to lack of ticket sales and embarrassing WWE Raw appearances.

However, it looks as if Kevin Federline really does make a good case for himself, especially since Britney Spears has made a worse case for herself recently with a horrendous photo shoot where she took it upon herself to ruin designer dresses with chicken grease and dog poop, and even more recently by hitting a car and then walking away while being photographed by the paparazzi. Britney has also been slammed for allegedly giving her toddler sons baby bottles full of soda pop and then trying to get their teeth whitened to hide the apparent tooth decay.

If you ask us, both Kevin Federline and Britney Spears add immense weight to the argument that just because you can procreate, does not mean you should.

The newly-liberated pop star enjoyed a wild 'girls night out' in Sin City with Miss Hilton this weekend; dancing, laughing and chain-smoking throughout the night.

The unlikely pair landed at club Tryst in the Wynn hotel, where Britney was spotted getting down and dirty on the dance floor to several Paris Hilton songs. In fact, things got so heated, Britney ditched her pants -- and danced around the club in a pair of fishnet stockings!

 

 

 

By now, you’ve probably seen the viral video of Miss South Carolina in the Teen USA pageant, in which she gets completely stumped by a question and is reduced to talking gibberish.  The video has over 3.5 million views on YouTube (there are several other copies of it, so the total number of views is even higher).  Just to put these numbers into perspective, the video of Miss South Carolina has generated far more views in 3 days than all of the videos of any presidential candidate has generated on YouTube in months. The video was aired on news stations around the country and on David Letterman last night–twice!  Paul Schaeffer, a Canadian, said he enjoyed every second of it.  Miss South Carolina, who is Lauren Caitlin Upton, will appear on the Today show today to explain what happened.  To a local paper, she said, “”I wasn’t expecting [the question]. Analysis:  In the grand scheme of things, I think this botched answer will help Lauren Caitlin Upton.  Just look at all the media attention she has received!  Ironically, no one is talking about the winner of the pageant.  Ms. Upton is really marketable right now.  She should capitalize on her 15 minutes of fame.  For example, how about a commercial for Rand McNally or a GPS maker?  Or even the iPhone, which, of course, has a map function.

My advice to Ms. Upton would be to just laugh off her botched answer.  Trust me, I’ve seen law students and practicing lawyers “crash and burn” in answering questions during oral argument in pretty embarrassing ways.  The good thing for Ms. Upton is that we’re only talking about a beauty pageant, not a multi-million dollar case with everything on the line for the client.  Personally, I thought the question was pretty stupid itself.

The season finale of Lifetime's smash hit "Army Wives" didn't disappoint.  The show ended its wildly successful freshman run with a major cliffhanger as all of the shows actual army wives are in the "Hump Bar" struggling with a rushed deployment that is brought on by a terrorist threat.

As usual, the episode is very well done.  The base is under high alert as munitions are missing and there is a lot of "chatter" that may mean an attack on the base.  The touching episode will leave many in tears as the struggles with separation are dealt with.

Michael Holden's (Brian McNamara) promotion to Commander is pushed forward and his oldest daughter Amanda (Kim Allen) is off to the University of Virginia.  Mom Claudia Joy Holden (Kim Delaney) is set to drive her to the train station.

They stop by the bar as Claudia Joy wants to give the bar's owner Betty (Patricia French) for surgery to help her fight breast cancer.   Denise Sherwood (Catherine Bell) Roxy LeBlanc (Sally Pressman) and Pamela Moran (Brigid Brannagh) are all there supporting each other with the struggles of the rapid deployment.

Roland has decided to take a position at Northwestern and is leaving for Chicago but stopped on his way to the airport when he saw all the ladies' cars in the parking lot.   He tells them what his soon to be ex wife Joan Burton (Wendy Davis) has told him - she's pregnant.

No - that's not the cliffhanger.  Part time character Marilyn has decided to leave her husband and he has followed her to the bar where she will meet her lover and drive away.  But he has other ideas.  It appears that he may be the one that has been stealing the munitions from the army and has strapped them to his chest.

All of the wives plus Roland see the man walk in - he is followed by young Amanda who notices his bulging jacket and she enters the bar.  The man walks in - sees his estranged wife and her lover.  Amanda is within few paces, the other cast regulars are also very close.  He squeezes the detonator.

The screen fades to white.  Great cliffhanger this series is phenomenal. 

There's a new potential football player for NFL scouts to keep an eye on as Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a baby boy fathered by former MVP Tom Brady of the New England Patriots. The rep for Bridget Moynahan made the announcement on Wednesday, the same day that Bridge reportedly gave birth. Christina Papadopoulos, who declined to reveal any other stats on the baby born to Bridget Moynahan, would only say, "Mother and baby are doing well."

 

Tom Brady told the press recently that he would ask Coach Bill Belichick for approval to attend the birth of his child with Bridget Moynahan, but it was unclear if that actually happened. E! Reported that Tom Brady wasn't at practice on Wednesday, but no one knew if he made it down to Massachusetts for the birth of his first child. A team spokeswoman even implied that Tom Brady might not play in the Patriots preseason game against the Carolina Panthers on Friday.

 

In February, Bridget Moynahan announced that she was pregnant with Tom Brady's child, which was particularly shocking because she had split from the quarterback three months earlier and Brady had moved on Gisele Bundchen. The potential for love triangle drama was intense, but everyone handled it well. Don Yee, the agent for Tom Brady, said in a statement,

 

"Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy."

 

Bridget Moynahan has a surprisingly small resume, appearing most regularly in seven episodes of Sex and the City and the now-canceled Six Degrees on ABC. Bridget Moynahan has been in a few movies, including Coyote Ugly, Serendipity, The Sum of All Fears, The Recruit, I Robot, and Lord of War. Bridget Moynahan has finished shooting Noise with Tim Robbins and William Hurt for release sometime before the end of this year.

The final four acts performed duets first up was Butterscotch who performed with Sean Kingston, Julienne Irwin performed with Taylor Swift, Terry Fator performed with The Muppets, and Cas Haley performed with UB40.

Terry wowed the judges and audiences alike with his ability to impersonate stars ranging from Garth Brooks to Etta James and all without moving his lips.

Terry said “Thank you, , thank you so much, !” the newly coroneted best new act said after learning of his triumph.

He then performed a final rendition of Roy Orbison’s “Crying,” assisted by his plush turtle puppet as confetti rained down upon him.

In addition to winning the prize money, Terry was informed that his lifelong dream of playing Las Vegas was coming true, as the show has secured him a headlining slot next month at Bally’s Resort.

That’s awesome someone’s lifelong dream has been fore filled. What’s your lifelong dream? How awesome would it be if you were able to have the chance to have it come true?

 

I didn't want to see it as I don't enjoy the typical "teen sex comedy." While the story is about 3 teenagers and their awkward sex lives who are trying desperately to get booze and thusly get laid, this was a much deeper comedy. I'm not sure, but this might be the funniest movie I've ever seen. I missed some parts because I was laughing so hard at the previous joke.

What really makes this movie is the dialogue between the protagonists Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera). They are truly natural together on screen. I don't want to spoil the movie, but there are so many memorable and hilarious quotes. The word "blow j" has now been added to my vocabulary.

I strongly recommend Superbad to everyone who enjoys laughing (who doesn't?), especially those who are skeptical about the movie being immature as I was.

A new video of Lisa Marie Presley singing "In the Ghetto," accompanied by her late father, Elvis Presley, will be posted Friday on the AOL Internet site Spinner.com, a company spokesman said Tuesday.
To mark the 30th anniversary of her father's death, Lisa Marie Presley's voice was added to the original version of her father's hit song from 1969. The video duet also features images of her late father.

Spinner.com will post the video along with the transcript of an interview with Lisa Marie Presley, AOL spokesman Kurt Patat said.
In the interview, Lisa Marie Presley said the project was emotionally stirring.
"We had two hours to lay down my vocals," she says. "So the next morning, I heard the rough ... and ... I've never cried when I've done anything ... ever ... but I just lost it when I heard it."
Lisa Marie Presley also talks in the interview about how she was offended to see her father's song "Viva Las Vegas" used in a Viagra commercial. "I find that revolting," she said. "Some songs we have no control over. I know we didn't license that one."
Proceeds from the new song and video will be used to help build temporary housing for the homeless in New Orleans, she said. The project is to be similar to Presley Place, a 12-unit apartment building for the homeless built in Memphis by Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. in 2001.
At the time, Elvis Presley Enterprises was owned by Lisa Marie Presley. She sold 85 percent of the company two years ago to CKX Inc., which now controls the worldwide business in marketing Elvis' name and image.
Elvis Presley died at his Memphis home, Graceland, on Aug. 16, 1977, and thousands of fans are in town this week for the 30th anniversary of his death.

Following Don Imus' undisclosed settlement deal with CBS Radio comes word that a member of the Rutgers women's basketball team is suing him and CBS. The team's center Kia Vaughn (pictured) claims his sexist and racist comments about the team damaged her reputation and is alleging slander and defamation of character.

Filed with the state Supreme Court in the Bronx, the lawsuit claims Imus and former co-host Bernard McGuirk, along with CBS Radio, are legally responsible for damage done to her character and reputation. No specific dollar amount listed in the suit -- which alleges that she was humiliated, embarrassed and publicly mocked for the comments.

"This is about Kia Vaughn's good name," her attorney Richard Ancowitz said. "She would do anything to return to her life as a student and respected basketball player -- a more simple life before Imus opened his mouth on April 4."

Vaughn appeared on Oprah following Imus' comments in April. At the time, she said that the comments overshadowed the team's season. "Our moment was stolen from us," Vaughn said then. "Instead of us coming here to enjoy what we accomplished and how far we came, we had to sit back and look at media asking questions about what he said." (08-14-07)

But does anyone seriously believe that Vaughn's good name has been damaged? Are there really people out there who think less of Vaughn because of what Imus said? If not, what's the point of the lawsuit?

Former pro-wrestler Brian Adams - known to his fans as Crush - was found dead by his wife at their home in North Tampa around 11:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Adams was part of a wrestling circuit that included Brian Blair, who now serves as a Hillsborough County Commissioner, and WWE star Vito LoGrasso, who calls himself "the toughest man to ever wear a dress." LoGrasso said in an interview Monday that he loves many things about his sport: the time at the gym, the time in the ring, the time with the friends he's made along the way. One of those friends was Crush, who was part of the W.W.F., now called the W.W.E.

"He had a very illustrious career and he was a good man and a good person - you know, very caring," LoGrasso remembered.

Crush stood 6'-8" and weighed 300 pounds.  But, LoGrasso was quick to add that he did not give his competitor an easy time.

"One of the toughest guys I ever faced and I know I always gave him a handful of problems," he said, adding that when he heard his fellow former wrestler had died, he felt a kind of blow one doesn't encounter inside the W.W.E. ring.

"Shock, just disbelief, I couldn't believe it when somebody said that to me," LoGrasso recalled.  "It just seems like you're always losing a brother - the world of wrestling, it's like a brotherhood and it just seems like it's a dying breed."

Many from that "brotherhood," live in the Tampa Bay area like Adams did.  Among them is County Commissioner Brian Blair, who was one of Adams' best friends.

In an exclusive interview with FOX 13 from his home in North Tampa, the Hillsborough County Commissioner said sadly, "Losing Brian Adams is a loss for everybody, and my prayers go out to Irene [Adams] and his family and to all the people who knew Brian and loved him."

The two men wrestled together. They played golf tournaments together.

"If you wanted to remember Brian Adams for what Brian Adams was, you would start with integrity and it would have to end with humor, because he had to make you laugh," Blair explained. "He had charisma, he could do things that no other could person could do."         

The results from Adams' autopsy are expected to be released on Tuesday.  Many hope they provide some explanation for why the athlete died so young.  But, as of Monday night, Tampa Police did not expect the cause of death to be foul play.

Wow Anna Faris is looking good in her new movie, which is rumored to be called “House Bunny”. It has been said that Anna has had some work done on her face - not that she needed to as she’s smoking hot! Her lips look a little fuller but it’s Hollywood, a little botox doesn’t hurt anyone! Titans’ cornerback Pacman Jones is suspended for the 2007 season and making his professional wrestling debut tonight, and he gave an interview to ESPN this morning to promote his activities in the ring. It did not reflect well on him. Jones is that he directly contradicted his previous claims that one of the ways he would demonstrate to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that he's serious about turning his life around is by going back to college to get his degree. He said in the interview with Dana Jacobson that he no longer feels that way:

"I'm doing a couple classes online. I was thinking about going back to school, but I didn't really think that I wanted to go back to school. I'm actually taking a class, one class, online. That's about it."

 

ESPN's Dana Jacobson did an outstanding job with the interview, asking all the right questions. Jacobson was so poised and well prepared that this interview should be shown in broadcast journalism classes.

Stevie Steeler was the last Steelers mascot, from the mid-1980's to mid-'90s. The Pittsburgh Tribue-Review is reporting the Steelers mascot finally has a name: Steely McBeam. McBeam isn’t to be confused with Steelers DE Ryan McBean.

It was Michelle Pfeiffer's turn today to be immortalized on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, ensuring that generations can pilgrimage to the urine-glazed sidewalk altar and pay homage to the enduring star who once bravely faced Coolio down in a school room music video showdown. But as the actress was besieged by fans eager to have their Pfeiffer memorabilia autographed, one item amidst the flurry of Scarface posters and Grease 2 soundtracks left her with a temporary case of career amnesia. A fan waved a Simpsons DVD at Michelle Pfeiffer today after her Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony. "The Simpsons?" said Pfeiffer.

With a career as prolific as Pfeiffer's, however, we can understand how easy it might be to overlook a nearly decade-and-a-half old stint in a Fox lot voiceover booth. We'd thus discourage pranksters and Simpsons purists from giving the actress a hard time for this one oversight, perhaps by excitedly approaching the actress with a DVD copy of the first and only season of Father of the Pride, and insisting up and down that she indeed made a cameo appearance in NBC's failed CGI Siegfried & Roy sitcom.

Lee Hazlewood has died at his home in Las Vegas following a fight with renal cancer.

The singer-songwriter, who was 77 when he passed away on Saturday (August 4), was perhaps best remembered for his work with Nancy Sinatra, writing the likes of 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'', which was a hit for Sinatra in 1966. Hazlewood also released a host of solo albums, including the influential 'Cowboy in ' in 1970.
He released his last album, 'Cake or Death', just last year. Lee Hazelwood was always someone who did things on their own terms, his life is a lesson to us all to take a chance and don’t look back. I think we could all learn something from the way this man lived his life.

Soaring up the 27-foot  quarter pipe after landing, Brown attempted what's called a 540 Mc Twist, a twisting, turning trick with 1½ revolutions.

What followed was one of the most frightening falls in X Games history. The 5-foot-6 Brown lost his board, his momentum carrying him away from the quarter pipe ramp. Flailing and kicking his arms and legs like a tumbling cat, Brown dropped an estimated 45 feet to the flat wooden deck, landing so violently on his legs that one of his shoes flew across the floor.

For two minutes, Brown lay motionless on the deck.

“I seriously thought he was dead, broke his back or broke both legs,” said fellow skater Pierre-Luc Gagnon of Carlsbad. “That was the gnarliest slam I've ever seen in my life.”

Eight minutes after the fall, Brown stood up,  then  wobbled off the floor, waving to the crowd. Brown was taken to an undisclosed hospital for observation. Minutes after the deck was cleared, Vista's Bob Burnquist took the night's final run, landed a difficult trick, scored 96.55 points and took first place from Brown. Brown placed second with a 95.33 run. Gagnon took third.

Afterward, skaters were stunned and thankful that Brown walked away from a fall that silenced the Staples Center crowd. “That's the most terrifying thing I've seen in my life, in the history of skateboarding,” said skater Jason Ellis, who rushed immediately to Brown's side. “His eyes were open and he wasn't breathing. I thought he  was . . . dead.” Ellis said that when Brown regained consciousness, he didn't know what happened. “As soon as he was up, he goes, 'Do I have another ride?' 'What'd I do?' Competing at the Dew Action Sports Tour on June 22 in Baltimore, Murray attempted a double back flip on dirt, a trick he has pulled off numerous times. He landed the trick in 2001 to win X Games gold.

This time, he landed on his neck.

Last night, Skateboard Big Air was staged inside for the first time. It was held outside in the parking lot at Staples Center the past three years and there were no serious injuries. Ironically, one reason it was moved indoors was to eliminate the wind and make the event safer. “I like it a lot more (indoors),” said Newport Beach's Ryan Jetton, 25, before Brown's fall. “Any time you get the stadium element, it's huge. I grew up skating, surfing and snowboarding. But what these guys do is leaps and bounds beyond anything I could imagine. “This is ridiculous. It just blows me away.” Regarding the skaters' skills, Philipp Schau of said, “Amazing, insane.” Last night, skaters and spectators were just thankful one of the stars escaped serious injury. As Brown was whisked away, down a Staples Center corridor in a wheelchair, he acknowledged his peers by waving his right hand. “See you back at the hotel,” Gagnon called to him. “I'm buying rounds , shots of Patron.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ICE CUBE AND HIS LATEST MOVIES?
The front man for the Killers, Brandon Flower says, "I don't necessarily have a problem with the culture of hip-hop, and it’s the hypocrisy of people within it I can't bare.”Look at Ice Cube now, for example. He's in some awful kids' movie, playing happy families with a couple of 10-year-olds. This is the man who was one of the founding members of N.W.A. I just don't get the turnaround."

MY OPINION:

I, personally agree with Flowers.  I, myself like Brandon Flowers had also taking a liking to eighties rap collective N.W.A., which was founded by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. They paved the way for future hip hop artists. However I don’t understand how you could go from being co- founder of N.W.A up there with one of  LA’s finest Dr. Dre , to making movies like Are We There Yet?, Are We Done Yet?, as well as Torque. Not saying that these movies weren’t entertaining; however Ice Cube I do not think was fit for these parts. Ice Cube turned from hip-hop pioneer to Hollywood actor, branding his move "hypocritical".

Elizabeth Dewberry and Ted Turner are a couple? Wow!!! Elizabeth Dewberry left novelists Robert Olden Butler after 12 years of marriage to be with Ted Turner.

In dealing with Elizabeth leaving Robert; Robert released an email to his department, describing the breakup of their relationship.

And Here it is let me know what you think. CRAZY right?

Rumors will soon be swirling around the department, so I want to tell the full and nuanced story to the five of you among the graduate students and ask that you clarify the issues for any of your fellow grad students who ask. This sort of thing can get wildly distorted pretty quickly. You can feel free to use any part or all of this email to do so. I really appreciate your help.

Elizabeth is leaving me for Ted Turner.

She and I will remain the best of friends. She also knows about, endorses, and even encourages that I tell this much detail of the story:
She has spoken openly in her work and in her public life of the fact that she was molested by her grandfather from an early age, a molestation that was known and tacitly condoned by her radically Evangelical Christian parents. She then went into a decade-long abusive marriage. I met her when she was in a terminally desperate state from this lifetime of abuse, and we married and we truly loved each other.

I was able to help her a great deal. She says I saved her life. But de facto therapy as the initial foundation of a marriage eventually sucks the life out of a relationship. And it is very common for a woman to be drawn to men who remind them of their childhood abusers. Ted is such a man, though fortunately, he is far from being abusive. From all that I can tell, he is kind to her, loyal, considerate, and devoted to his family, and perhaps, therefore, he can redeem some things for her.

Further, Elizabeth has never been able to step out of the shadow of the Pulitzer. As you know-and she knows-I have been an avid admirer and supporter of her work. Everyone has heard me proclaim my sincere high regard for her as an artist. I often did this publicly. But she has published two brilliant novels since she's been with me and neither has gotten anywhere near the recognition that they richly deserve. That made it harder and harder for her to live with the ongoing praise and opportunity that flows to a Pulitzer winner. Not because of jealousy. She has always been very happy for me. But the multitude of small reflections of regard that came my way inevitably threw a spotlight on the absence of those expressions of regard for her. She felt as if she was failing as a writer.

Then, in March, she nearly died from an intestinal blockage in Argentina while on a trip with Ted. The trauma of that led her further to profoundly question her own identity. It became clear to her that the only way she can truly find herself is by making this change in her life.

She will not be Ted's only girlfriend. Ted is permanently and avowedly non-monogamous. But though he has several girlfriends, it is a very small number, and he does not take them up lightly and he gives them his absolute support when he does. And Elizabeth's leaving me is as much about the three weeks a month she is alone as it is about the week a month she is with Ted. She will find her own space and her own light in which to create the great works of art she is destined to create.

I will keep my house. I will keep my dogs and cats. I will keep virtually everything. She is being characteristically generous about that. But I will lose Elizabeth. And that is very sad. But the loss has been happening through many years of our shared struggle to make her whole. In that, I've done all I can do, as has she. I wish her the best. I ask you not to think ill of her in any way.

Elizabeth and I will now conduct ourselves as if this is public knowledge. So as I suggested at the outset, you need not keep this to yourself, if the occasion arises to speak of it to someone. This is best anyway, since I am not up to the task of telling this story over and over.
I have a high regard and affection for the students in our program. I hope this will help them sort out this rather intense story in an appropriate way.
